To the Hybrid Boomer – your support is appreciated

Before transitioning to working from home, there were nights when I experienced insomnia. It was mostly attributed to job related stress. Now that I am home for work and no longer having to deal with commuting, being around people all day, etc., there should be no stress, right? That is the perception anyway! Not so. On the job stress when working from home is real, too.

After hours of video conferences, sometimes back-to-back, and the isolation from face-to-face interactions with people, there are times when I cannot turn it off. Winding down from work is even more difficult because work is always present!

Luckily, I have found a few ways to help me to wind down to get a good nights sleep.

Taking a long bath or shower just before bed has become my lifeline. Dropping a Body Restore Shower Steamer of Eucalyptus & Peppermint near the drain of my shower releases a burst of relief that clears up nasal congestion from pollen that I picked up during my daily walks and relaxes me for a good nights sleep. I love the way that the steamers open the pores of my skin to wash away dirt and grime. Recovery from my workouts and the stress of my day are gone! I fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. It’s like spending 15 to 20 minutes in a spa or steam room.

Other fragrances include Lavender to wash away all day’s stress and fatigue, Grapefruit, Cocoa Orange & Citrus for your morning shower to wake you up and energize you, Jasmine Chamomile, and Rose to immerse you in a state of deep relaxation and Zen, and Tea Tree infused with tea tree oils imported from Australia to wrap you with a strong, heavenly scent for relaxation and stress relief. Just drop one in your tub or shower and feel the stress of the day fade away!

Shower steamers are a great way to relieve stress, but they are also good for other ailments like improving skin health, lowering blood pressure, improving circulation, easing bronchitis symptoms, workout recovery, and lowering joint stiffness. And they smell good, too! They come in variety packs that are great gifts that you can give to both men and women. Your friends and family will thank you later!

A Hybrid Boomer is an individual born between 1946 and 1964 who is still in the workforce but working from home or a remote location. We are only required to report into a company facility when it is necessary to collaborate in person or for in-person company meetings. We transitioned into this type
of work mode during the COVID 19 Pandemic. In defining a new normal and the future of work our companies have decided to allow us to make this a permanent way to work.
