Happy Halloween!
I will never feel too old to dress up or wear a costume.
My dad @carbonelldelfin made Halloween so much fun for us even when we moved back to Spain at a time when nobody celebrated Halloween there!
My grandmother would have to order a pumpkin a month in advance from the grocery store and they would ask her why she needed such a huge pumpkin. 😝 And since there was no trick or treating in Spain my dad made sure the Great Pumpkin brought gifts! 💃
My dad would also destroy his wrists carving it. That was before they sold the easy-to-carve ones we have now.
Even though the kids are adults now I will still carve a pumpkin and give treats to the (few in our neighborhood) kids who knock on our door. Just seeing their little faces – or big faces if they are teens – makes me happy. I will give candy to anyone who asks for it, no questions asked.
