Last day of being 60 and what an active year!

As I celebrate my last day at 60, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement to continue staying active as I turn 61!

How can YOU stay active at 60? The key is to cultivate active habits early on.

I’m forever thankful to my dad for instilling in me a love for sports and Yoga from a very young age, a passion I’ve passed on to my kids.

But even if you’re past a certain age, it’s never too late to start moving within your capabilities.

There’s nothing more thrilling than being able to do what I did this past year—snorkeling with sharks, diving, hiking, arm balancing (after recovering as much as possible from a rotator cuff tear), and dancing—all without giving my age a second thought.

Aging does come with its challenges—I’ve spent the past few months in and out of medical testing rooms—but I have agency over my attitude and how I choose to live my life at this age, especially when my best friend no longer can. I decide how to spend my time and energy.

If working out isn’t your thing, feel free to skip this post. It’s not for everyone. But if you’re looking to embrace life fully as you grow older, stick around. I’ll inspire you without ignoring the inevitable struggles of entering the third act of life.

So, how do you incorporate mental, emotional, and physical fitness into your life, no matter your age?
