What’s ‘good’ in NJ?!
Helping to reset the body’s stressors, then how to tackle homeownership.
If you’ve been tuning in recently to Be The Good with Kate, you know we are currently rebroadcasting a few episodes in between seasons. These next few episodes will be moving us into what you’ll be hearing more of in the next season of Be The Good with Kate… Folks doing good in my home state of New Jersey. Yes, Season 8 will be a mini season focusing on my new/old state of NJ!
If you didn’t already know, I am an NJ native but was living in Midtown Manhattan for well over a decade until just a few months ago. As I rediscover my home state, I wanted to bring on some guests doing good here. But, just like in prior seasons, when you heard from people from Bali to India and Florida to Utah, you certainly don’t need to be in this state to be inspired to start, restart, or continue your journey to finding your passions and helping others along the way.
Today you hear two episodes from prior seasons that happen to feature NJ residents:
Dr. Kelly Kessler (ep. 87) and Noreen Eddy (ep. 23).
Kelly Kessler, DPT, found her calling through her own struggles with an eating disorder. After years of working through bulimia, then chronic pain, Kelly discovered the connection between the two. Today she helps others going through recovery to heal from chronic pain.
This episode dives into:
-healing from chronic pain,
-shifting from survival mode to thriving,
-eating disorders and the effect on the nervous system,
-taking one day at a time in healing
Next you’ll hear from Noreen Eddy, mom, actor, and millennial DIYer of ‘Our Two Family’. When you think about buying and/or renovating a home, what words come to mind? I’m taking a wild guess at what some of these words are, and they aren’t all pretty. But how about humor, savvy, and community? If those did not pop into your head regarding mortgages and power tools, then you definitely need to hear from Noreen.
After listening, check out her blog. I guarantee you will be delightfully surprised learning about all things home while relating to the millennial comments and laughing at Noreen’s fun, digestible, and humorous writing style. Never has an article breaking down “how to buy a house” been so fun to read!
Season 8 will be coming out in the upcoming months. Follow on your favorite podcast platform or sign up at katecherichello.com/bethegood to be alerted to new episodes.
Thank you for listening and sharing!
