Excellent Off The Radar Options: Color Palettes For Summer
In the hotter months, it seems easier to wear bright and vibrant colors. This led me to the idea to showcase some color palettes for summer that might not be on your radar.

I’m the first one to admit that colors should not be seasonal. Yet I do notice that women seem to wear more colorful clothing in June, July, and August.
Since that is the case, we wanted to give you some color palettes for summer you may not have thought of.
The three of us chose a variety of color palettes for summer that may stretch your styling options.
This is not the first time we have showcased outfits with colors galore. Make sure you see some other ideas we’ve talked about in the past.
Charlotte-Bright Lime Green
My mom found this amazing neon green jacket for our scavenger hunt at Goodwill recently.
While it fell under the category of a color she doesn’t wear often, she was open to trying to pair it with things in her closet.
Funny story: My friend, Joanne, is the original owner of this jacket. She had dropped it off at Goodwill just days before we shopped there and my mom found it.
However, we went to a fashion show for our local boutique, Just Be Youtiful, and my mom found these jogger pants that worked fabulously with the lime green jacket.
BTW, my article on 15+ options of what colors go with lime green has been very popular. I believe that lime green can go with a multitude of other colors just like any color in your closet.
As a matchy matchy soul, Charlotte wore all kinds of different colors of greens in her outfit. From her shoes to her accessories, she found all kinds of lime green, yellow-green, and even sage green to pull together for one of our color palettes for summer.
Lesley-Pastel Print
While pastels are traditionally thought of during springtime, there’s no reason you can’t wear them in the summer also.
Lesley shared: “I couldn’t resist buying this top with the garden of beautiful flowers and colors. It is silky, light, and flowery which are my favorite feels.
With so many wonderful colors, I had a hard time choosing how to style it, but I know I will wear it with other color bottoms for the rest of the summer.”
Insider tip: Don’t be put off by a top that is low cut in the front. It’s easy to wear another layer under it to feel more covered.

Either that or try wearing the top backward.
Even though the colors in Lesley’s outfit are pastels, she wore brighter colors with her sandals and tote bag.
It’s fun to mix and match all the colors this way.
Jodie-Color Palettes for Summer with Pink and Orange
I remember the first time I saw pink and orange together and I’ve been smitten ever since. In fact, one of my first shirtdresses has that color combination in it along with brown.
Then Cathie wore this color palette for summer, and since then I wanted to copy it, yet differently. Her pink clothing item is lighter as is her orange piece. I used more saturated items for my outfit.
What you may not realize about my “top” is that it’s really a skirt that I thrifted last year. I tucked the ties down the front and placed a brooch over the area.
The proof is in the photo below when I got ready for our dog walk and put it on as a skirt to show you.
Insider tip: Because these pants are baggy, I did not fold the “skirt” up but left it hanging like you would a normal top. Another option would be to use a hair tie and gather the extra material on the outside of the waist like I’ve done in the past.
Because both colors are so vibrant, I chose tan sandals and a straw purse along with metallic accessories.
