The Den by Cara Reinard
‘I loved talking to Cara Reinard about her latest psychological suspense novel, THE DEN. Ever since I read my first Agatha Christie I have been intrigued with mysteries about wills and twisted family rivalries and plenty of suspicious characters.
In The Den we have it all. A father leaves behind a Family Trust—but it comes with a string that soon gets everyone tied up in knots. The two brothers and two sisters in the Fox family are up to their ears in plot twists–which makes for a fine read. Sibling rivalry can be so delicious and funny—especially when they get really down to good old-fashioned bickering.
It was great to hear about Cara’s writing process and about how she finally became a published author. In our interview she mentions an article she wrote for Women Writers, Women(s) Books called A Publishing Journey: 10 Years, 3 Agents, 7 Manuscripts. It is a fascinating story and a great lesson to every not to give up! Check out the link below.
Cara was a great guest. A real JOY! Looking forward to her next novel.
“Reinard juggles suspects, motives, and family skeletons with such dexterity that it’s hard to imagine any of the Fox clan actually being innocent. A heartburning family tell-all just in time to gladden your Thanksgiving.” ―Kirkus Reviews
“The explosive plot, told through alternating narrators with wildly divergent viewpoints, creates a tense, Machiavellian atmosphere. Readers won’t soon forget this deep dive into twisted family dynamics.” ―Publishers Weekly
“Think your family has drama? Wait until you meet the Foxes, who have enough skeletons in their closet to fill a cemetery. Cara Reinard deftly combines twisted family dynamics, escalating tension, and suspicious characters to make The Den a juicy, binge-worthy thriller.” ―Megan Collins, author of The Family Plot
