Overview: Ongoing investments in research and recent legislative developments continue to influence the future of Parkinson’s. Two experts from The Michael J. Fox Foundation will discuss research efforts and investments as well as policy efforts to address Parkinson’s treatment and mitigation.

Panelist: Kristen Kovaletz – Kristen serves The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) as a Senior Philanthropy Relationship Manager for the West Coast. In her role, Kristen partners with the Fox team of researchers to understand and translate the latest Parkinson’s disease research for MJFF’s community of supporters. She is honored to share the work of MJFF and how PD research is impacting families across California and eight other western states. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2022, Kristen held various positions in healthcare and public health philanthropy.

Panelist: Julie Edwards – Julie Edwards is a Philanthropy Relationship Manager at The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF). Every day, Julie is inspired by the groundbreaking research MJFF is spearheading in the Parkinson’s disease field and the MJFF community’s tireless advocacy for government policies that will better serve individuals with Parkinson’s and their families on a state and national level. She looks forward to the progress ahead and continuing to share resources with the community.
