Wet Dream

Wet Dream by Kip Addotta

Kip left us in 2019. I met Kip while bartending in 1984 at the Punch Line in San Francisco. His bit, Wet Dream, floored me when I first heard it.

…Remember when people looked down on cover bands when they first started popping up all over the place? It’s only natural. The Beatles and the Rolling Stones were cover bands when they started out. Then cover bands became tribute bands and today they’re unbelievably popular. There are over 800 Grateful Dead tribute bands right now! Crazy huh?

So, in the true spirit of disruption blah blah blah, the Tribute Comic is born. And if my performance is any indication of how popular that concept might become we’re all pretty much doomed.
