  1. Sports Parenting Do’s and Don’ts Laura Brazan, Michael Huber 41:54

In this insightful episode, we delve into the often overlooked complexities of youth sports parenting with Michael Huber. Many of us can relate to the pressures of being a young athlete—either feeling the weight of expectations from parents to excel in every game or facing the sting of being sidelined and overlooked. Michael shares his mission to equip young athletes and their families with essential tools to navigate today’s increasingly challenging and often toxic sports environment.

We explore the unique pressures young athletes face and discuss how we can foster a healthier, more supportive atmosphere that allows them to flourish. Michael’s personal experiences and insights promise to illuminate the path toward a more positive sports culture that benefits not only the athletes but their families as well.

Join me as we engage in a meaningful conversation about encouraging our children to pursue their passions while staying attuned to their feelings and aspirations. Learn how we, as parents and grandparents, can strike that balance between support and pressure in the world of youth sports.

Don't miss this enlightening discussion that will guide you in cultivating a nurturing environment for the young athletes in your life!

Laura Brazan Founder of “Grandchildren Raising Grandchildren: Nurturing Through Adversity” Podcast

I am a professional hand engraver and gold inlay artist. I’m from NYC and moved to northwest Montana thirty five years ago. Two years ago my husband and I became legal guardians of two of our seven grandchildren, now ages 5 and 8. With little resources available and no community, I developed the “Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Nurturing Through Adversity” podcast with the encouragement of the University of Montana. Sharing advice from experts and stories from other grandparents from all over the country we hope to provide hope and community while educating others about this challenging task.
