Effective Grieving What to Say and What Not to Say

  1. Effective Grieving What to Say and What Not to Say Betsy Wurzel 47:06

We discussed the role of a Grief & Trauma Coach in supporting those who are grieving, and providing them with tools to manage their situation. Claire emphasized how individuals grieve in their own ways and offered advice on what to say—and what not to say—to someone who is suffering.

Additionally, we touched on concepts such as the ‘Lumpy Legacy’ and the idea of ‘Two Truths.’ Claire highlighted the need for society to better address death, dying, and grieving. She offers counseling via Zoom, making her services accessible to people everywhere.

Claire’s book is quick to read and filled with valuable information. Betsy found it particularly helpful even though my husband passed away four years ago. I believe “Putting Out The Fire” should be in every clergy’s library, as well as in hospices and funeral homes. Betsy highly recommends this book to anyone who has lost a loved one or is facing the loss of someone dear.
