S6 E13 Caregiving with Resiliency with Sandy Andress

Discover how Caregiving can become a journey of resilience, connection, and hope.

In this heartfelt episode of ‘Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell’, I welcome Sandy Andress, author of ‘Caregiver’s Guide’, to share her deeply personal journey of caring for two of her siblings and how that experience inspired a faith-based book and workshop designed to support caregivers.

Together, we explore how caregiving can be more than simply managing responsibilities. It can become an opportunity to strengthen Relationships, nurture your own wellbeing, and discover practical ways to continue thriving while supporting someone you Love.

As part of every podcast, we also create an experience of rejuvenation using the ‘BioEnergetic Wellness Formula.’ During this episode, you’ll be guided through two simple wellness tools you can use immediately:

Emotional Stress Release (ESR) – to calm the mind, ease emotional stress, and create space for new solutions.

Cook’s Hook-Ups – to encourage relaxation, improve communication, support restful Sleep, ease tension, and foster a deeper connection with yourself and those you care for.

Before our conversation, we also share a mindful tea ritual featuring ‘1897 GenerosiTEA’ from the Cape Breton Tea Company. Together. we explore the spiritual essence of blueberry and currant and reflect on how compassion differs from sympathy and empathy. True generosity comes from a place of renewal, allowing us to give without becoming depleted.

In this episode you’ll discover:

• How Sandy’s caregiving journey inspired her faith-based book and workshop.
• Why healthy relationships are at the heart of effective caregiving.
• Practical communication strategies for caregivers and healthcare teams.
• Ways to care for yourself while caring for someone you love.
• How small moments of awareness can transform the caregiving experience.
• Two simple BioEnergetic Wellness tools you can begin using today.
