Dr Parul Dua Makkar is a dentist, and so was her younger brother, Manu. Manu lived in Canada, while his older sister lives in New York.
I learned alot during this interview! Oral Cancer is a very aggressive cancer, and can spread very rapidly! This makes going to the dentist even more important!
Dr. Parul has become a fierce advocate for cancer as she fights to keep the memory of her precious brother alive. She has written a book spearheaded by Manu, which she put together in his memory. We will discuss this in part 2 of our next interview.
