Have you used YouTube?

As seniors we thrive best, I believe when we are learning new things.  One source of free learning (among many) is YouTube. YouTube is a fantastic platform for self-Education due to its vast array of content covering virtually every topic imaginable. Here are some opportunities and examples of channels that can be used for self-education on YouTube:

Tutorials and How-To Guides: YouTube is filled with tutorials on everything from cooking and DIY projects to coding and graphic design. Channels like “Tasty” for cooking, “DIY Creators” for DIY projects, and “Traversy Media” for programming tutorials are excellent examples.

Educational Channels: Many YouTube channels are dedicated solely to providing educational content. “CrashCourse” covers a wide range of subjects like history, science, and literature in an engaging format. “TED-Ed” offers animated educational videos on various topics.

Skill Development: Whether you want to learn a new language, improve your public speaking, or master a musical instrument, YouTube has resources for you. Channels like “FluentU” for language learning, “Charisma on Command” for public speaking and social skills, and “JustinGuitar” for guitar lessons are popular choices.

Lifestyle and Wellness: YouTube is a hub for wellness content, including fitness workouts, mindfulness practices, and nutrition tips. “Yoga with Adriene” offers Yoga classes for all levels, “FitnessBlender” provides workout routines, and “NutritionFacts.org” discusses evidence-based nutrition information.
