Daily Looks: Week Ending 8.2.24
It’s an abbreviated daily look post this week because we are off on an adventure and you’ll see those outfits later.
I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
Saturday
Because the dress matches my skin a bit, you don’t notice the cutouts all that much until you look from the side angle. This is why I included that photo in my email.
While I’m pretty bold with my fashion choices, I wasn’t sure about how I felt in this dress. So I wore it on a day we weren’t going anywhere.
Insider tip: It may sound silly to “dress up” when you’re staying home but it’s a great Exercise to get used to something you wouldn’t normally wear.
I did use my Maggie’s magnets to hold the side of the bra and dress together, so the dress didn’t ride up. If I had a little more midsection width, I would have filled in the dress better and it wouldn’t ride around as much.
Then I wore my cork sandals which go with everything and are extremely comfy with the tiny pillows and adjustable straps.
One of my favorite people made my bracelet and I love how it goes with this dress so perfectly.
BTW, after wearing this dress around the house for the day, I loved it. It was like having my own personal AC and I felt very good in it.
Sunday
This dress is super cute from my rental clothing box. You don’t notice the lime green stripe above the blue in the photos as much.
I only added the lace blouse for when we meet a friend for lunch. The blouse is from Just Be Youtiful and is a great summer cover. Restaurants can be so chilly.
I’m wearing the interchangeable sandals again. The company just sent me a replacement strap for the blue straps. They also sent a pair of black leather straps.
AND that could be the secret—leather vs patent leather.
The patent leather could wear off more easily than the leather. So I ordered a pair of tan leather straps since the brand is having a summer sale.
That decoration at the “v” of the dress is a clip-on earring and I wore lime green earrings.
Monday
I have a bunch of videos saved showing how to transform clothing and I finally got around to trying it. This “top” is really a pair of pants (seen here under Casual Cruise Wardrobe 1). It is crazy to think how our clothes can really be much more versatile than we think.
The shorts were a steal for $1 at a thrift store. Even though they are 3 sizes bigger than my norm, they just hang lower and are loose which is ideal for our hot weather.
I used my scarf clip to hold the ends of the pants together in the front and then accessorized with print wedges, green earrings, and a green bow in my hair.
Tuesday
We had Tai Chi today, so I needed something moveable, modest, and yet cute.
These joggers are found at Just Be Youtiful. She always has a wide variety available because they are crowd pleasers. Heck, my mom even wore a pair recently.
The top is from my clothing rental box and the sleeves are not only puff but are made with a cool silky material.
Sneakers are needed for Tai Chi, so I chose this Jambu pair that is on sale right now. I’ve had these for years, and they have been continued year after year because they are so popular. They are called “Erin” and mine are the gunmetal color.
My earrings are brown print cacti and I wore a bright orange bracelet.
Wednesday
My friend, Kym, gave me 2 pairs of denim shorts which I have been playing around with. I converted one pair into this top although it still needs some adjustments.
We have dog training today, so it was a perfect day to wear my linen shorts (which should be called longs because they are almost to my knees, haha).
I wore one of my Halftees under the top (use code Jtouch20 for a discount). I also added a bling pin at the “v” to pull it together more.
These striped sandals are super comfy and pull together the colors of my outfit. Even though the sandals aren’t on sale, they are still a great deal for such comfortable shoes.
I added a hat for a casual vibe and wore my bright blue eyeglasses.
Thank you
