This week I wore my usual variety of colors and clothing items, ranging from shorts to pants to dresses and skirts. But I am planning on concentrating on colorful sneakers in next week’s daily looks and comparing them in matching vs non-matching outfits.

SATURDAY
After last week’s all denim outfits, I was happy to pull out the dresses. So happy in fact, that I wore 2 today, LOL.
The top one is a thrifted LOFT dress and the bottom one I won in a giveaway.
I used a cardigan pin to add ruching to the top dress and to expose the hemline of the underneath dress.
I kept everything else simple with white Cariuma sneakers and small accessories.
BTW, if you want to support eco-conscious brands, Cariuma is a good one so says USAToday.
If you want to purchase any of their sneakers, I appreciate going through my links and not USAToday’s links. Thank you,
I did laugh when someone commented on TT that the top dress looked like an apron—it does, right? So I used that in my video.
SUNDAY
I was so intrigued with this sheer yet 3-D floral flower, trucker jacket from Just Be Youtiful. Yes, it’s oversized, but I loved it over this bright pink sheath dress that sometimes feels a tad tight.
I wore this dress with a blouse over it and a pearl belt and once with a yellow jacket.
My friend bought me these sneakers. At first, they were so uncomfortable but once I started wearing them with Sheec liner socks, they were much more comfy.
MONDAY
I found these shorts for $1 last summer and thought I could make them work (I had to do some alterations).
Now that I see them this year, I just ADORE the color and will have to be on the lookout for other pieces this color.
How do you like this layering of my 2 tops? The top top is sleeveless (worn here) and the thinner stripe top I’ve had for ages (proof here).
It’s hard to see the difference but would you believe the top shirt is navy and white and the other one is black and white?
I wore yellow print heels and a yellow hat for something different.
What I wasn’t sure about was if the outfit needed a belt.
And giggle, giggle, I should have steamed the shorts to get the wrinkles out.
TUESDAY
I always struggle with this vest. I knit it years ago, yet I tend to feel frumpy in it. I’ve tried it with a sheer top under it, and pairing it with distressed jeans.
Today, I experimented with cargo jeans that my friend, Cathie, gave me.
While cargo pants aren’t everyone’s favorite, they have that voluminous silhouette on the bottom half that is modern. Even Lesley and mom have some.
On top of that, I wore a striped blouse with the vest to incorporate print mixing.
And then I had to wear these striped mules that have the same colors in them. The mules aren’t available now, but there is a similar pair of sneakers on the Ros site. Use code JODIE10.
WEDNESDAY
We were off to meet my friend, Cheryl, for a thrifting adventure. I wasn’t sure they had fitting rooms, so I wore a skirt that would be relatively easy to try on things under it.
This striped “dress” or “tunic” as the case may be, looked fabulous layered over the tulle leopard skirt that you saw styled on Friday of my daily outfits with tights and a sweater.
I wore these tan mules because they make it easy to try on shoes and I added the bendable necklace as my bracelet because it was flat and didn’t move around.
I’m surprised I didn’t wear more color, but even I’m allowed to go with neutrals, right?
FRIDAY
I found this pair of orange jeans (they are almost a tangerine color) at our recent thrifting adventure and knew I should wear them right away before it gets too hot.
I also had my newest Old Navy top hanging on the rack, and I liked how the 2 pieces blended. Maybe not blended per se, but it was an interesting color combination I wouldn’t have put together otherwise.
Instead of tucking the top or tying the ends at the waist, I got creative with the buttons. I plan to make a video of how I put it together.
These flats were a mere $25 from the Online Shoe Deal site (use code COMFY10 for an additional discount). Sizing? I wouldn’t size up. They run a tad big for me.
My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
