Daily Looks: Week Ending 10.18.24

It was a rough week having to put down our kitty. But I still got dressed and I feel that it helps to set your mood.
Thank you again to everyone who sent love and hugs.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Sunday

Skirt: Gilli-Your Revolving Closet~~Top: English Factory -Your Revolving Closet~~Sandals: from Goodwill

Both of these pieces came in my recent Your Revolving Closet box and I thought they would look great together.

For some strange reason, I don’t pair blue together with green yet look how wonderful they are in an outfit.

Here’s a secret. I’m wearing one of my older Gatherall bras from last year that has been worn over 50 times. I save my old ones for times like this when the top has support. The older Gatherall adhesive does wear out over time and doesn’t stick as well, but it still sticks. I just don’t expect it to keep the girls up and at attention, so I use the old ones for days like today.

This will probably be my last sandal outing. We have 6 months of sandal season, but then I let my toenails go without polish to give them a break. And now it’s time to have fun with closed-toe shoes.

I’m wearing my fabulous shoulder-scraping earrings made for me by my friend, Judy.

Skirt: Umgee- Just Be Youtiful~~Vest: Pol-Just Be Youtiful ~~Shoes: Banana Republic Factory (I made the bows)

Yes, I’m wearing this vest again mainly because there’s an anniversary event at Just Be Youtiful that I will attend today. For those of you who live here in Arizona, there are 2 more scheduled–this Saturday, and next Wednesday.

I’ve worn everything in the past. This skirt was my Travel skirt when we went to Puerto Rico. It’s one of those skirts that can also be worn as a dress and the ties can be wrapped around your neck as a halter or other ways.

The cami I’m wearing backwards because it’s a cowl and hangs low and I didn’t want to flash people today.

And Lesley inspired the vest when she bought it and wore it recently. I just had to have it.

If you get my emails, you saw these bows on my shoes up close. They are just leftover material I made into a bow on my gold Mary Janes.

Tuesday

Pants: from Just Be Youtiful~~Sweater: Handknit by my mom~~Sneakers: Cole Haan-thrifted

It’s Tai Chi day so these floral joggers were a great choice. The colors in the joggers are melon and orange, but I wanted to see how pink would work too. And I really think the pink and melon blend well together.

The joggers are from Just Be Youtiful, and she always has a variety of prints and colors available because they are so popular.

This hand-knit sweater was knit by my mom. I can’t even remember why I have it now, but I love it for these transitional weather days.

The orange sneakers were thrifted and if you’ve ever had Cole Haan Zerogrand sneakers, then you know how lightweight they are.

I added a velvet ballcap and tassel earrings along with my new bracelet that is interchangeable. Just Be Youtiful posted about it here.

Wednesday

Shorts: Old Navy~~Jacket: Goodwill~~Boots: Target

I always love wearing shorts with boots, and it is finally cool enough to have fun with this idea. Mireille inspired this look with a pair of white cowboy boots that I found for her.

After checking out her inspiration photo, I cuffed my jean shorts to show off a tad more leg. Sometimes, bare skin is a good fashion element.

Even if you aren’t a cowboy fashion lover, cowboy boots are very modern, and just another great boot option for the colder weather.

I found this pair at Target 2 years ago, and they have been so comfy and stylish. They have an ankle boot version that even comes in wide if you are interested.

Even though I don’t wear black and white much, I did thrift both of these tops recently. The glasses sleeveless blouse was $1 (and it’s Talbots brand) and the striped jacket was $2.

And I thought they would be fun together. Even though the blouse is ivory and the jacket has white stripes, there’s no law against that.

Thursday

Jeans: Lucky Brand-Goodwill ~~Top: Express- Your Revolving Closet~~Flats: Vince Camuto-Goodwill

We are running errands today and it’s cool enough to wear jeans finally. This is one of the pair that I thrifted for $2 and cuffed myself. I sewed them at the side seams and ironed them so they would stay put.

The lilac print ruffle top is a great transition piece for our weather and I used the front tuck for the blouse.

Metallic flats are something that goes with everything, and these were thrifted a couple of years ago.

And yes, I’m wearing my Sheec socks with them because it’s nicer than having my feet sweat.

Thank you
