Make A Respected Impact with Clientele

Make A Respected Impact With Clientele For Business Growth &Raquo; Respect 1024X743 1

Long ago, Aretha Franklin sang the memorable lyrics, “All I Want Is A Little Respect.” One line is repeated: ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T – what it means to me…’ I fully related and listened to the lyrics repeatedly.

During my time in sales, I heard representatives in the office belittling their competitors. This had a negative outcome, and their monthly sales numbers were low. Belittling another doesn’t make you appear superior; it has the opposite effect, encouraging calls to the person’s competitor.

Your Persona Almost Predicts Your Outcome

When in the company of others, observe their customary practices, specifically those you admire and those you find annoying. Your job is to come across as inviting, and it’s critical to adapt those habits complementary to your personality into your routine.

Communication Suggestions

It is up to each of us to model who we are via our communications. No two people are alike, but we are more likely to connect with similar-minded people by being concise, consistent, and of service to others. The following list conveys one’s personality and whether to build a relationship upfront before considering potentially doing business together.

  • Integrity is front and center.
People need to be able to trust you before they are willing to conduct business with you.
  • Speak with Clarity.
Doubt cannot exist should you expect to build client Relationships. Clarity in all regards is critical.
  • Awareness of pitfalls; continuous learning.
Training or self-learning is vital for moving forward upon realizing the need to know more.
  • Accountability.
It’s critical to admit errors or a lack of knowledge and then take steps to learn what is missing from your natural talent pool.
  • Consistency.
People identify you by what you say and do; inconsistencies will turn them away.
  • Learn from errors.
The only way to improve efforts is to commit to ongoing learning and leap forward.
  • Admitting mistakes vs excuses
People admire honesty and often will give you a second chance; excuses rarely fly.
  • Building trust.
Trust on any level will make or break your ability to conduct business; it’s critical to be trustworthy to be on top of your game.
  • Pay strict attention to the people who join specific groups.
It is critical to find like-minded networks and connect with suitable collaborative types. Ensure that those with whom you connect have your best interest for reciprocity.

Monitoring results in all aspects is critical to recognizing where improvements may occur. Making a total commitment to yourself to grow in as many aspects as possible while serving clientele and community will contribute significantly to the person you want to become and, ultimately, your Legacy.

Verbiage Stands Out

We cannot take back our words, so being precise and respectful is critical even while delivering undesirable news. The better examples are movie lines and statements from individuals who positively impacted society long ago.

Albert Einstein ‘imagination is more important than knowledge.’

Conclusion: Make A Respected Impact with Clientele

A lack of preparedness before meeting with another will only invite hurtful responses. Being familiar with what a prospect needs, wants, and desires is critical. Most of all, delivering upon promises or ignoring them will make or break an effort and, eventually, a business. Consistency, truthfulness, and preparedness are critical differentiators for business success.

Elinor Stutz International Best-Selling Author

Elinor Stutz broke through barriers long before doing so was popular. Against all the odds, she defied the theme “women can’t sell” to become the top producer at every company she ever worked for, ignoring attempts to get her to quit.

Eleven years later, I lay motionless on a stretcher with an irreparably broken neck. Two visions appearing before me, and a brilliant gold light encasing my entire body, gave me a reason to believe I would recover. I wholeheartedly knew I was about to empower audiences far and wide. At the moment, I negotiated a full recovery with the promise to be of service. The surgeon and hospital staff anointed me with the title “The Walking Miracle.”

As the CEO of Smooth Sale, Stutz adapted the motto, “Believe, Become, Empower.” Believe in yourself; Become the person you envision; Empower your audience to do the same. Stutz is on the Social Media Committee for Inclusion Allies Coalition devoted to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
