I ask everyone this—and I’m selfishly learning so much.
What is your one
low wellness item you can’t live without? I’ve heard everything from baths to walks to very specific snacks.

Nicole: I can not live without CARS, controlled articular rotations. This is a free, easy, always available option for reducing inflammation in the joint and surrounding tissue. I teach these in every class, no matter the format and they single handedly changed my understanding of movement, not to mention helped heal my frozen shoulder back in 2016!

And what’s your one high-end wellness investment that’s absolutely worth it?

Nicole: oh the LUMAFLEX body pro medical grade II wearable red light device. It’s the absolute best for injury, muscle recovery, Sleep, cellular renewal and pain reduction. I just swear by it and use it weekly!!

As we near the end of nature’s winter—even on the West Coast—the move toward spring has its own frequency. We’re in the & of nature: quieter than winter, not yet effervescent like spring.
How do you feel this shift in your energy or aura before anything external actually changes? How do you tap into that sensation?

Nicole: I’m a spring and summer girl at heart. But there’s something about winter and fall that always brings on nostalgia and reflection. I don’t think I would be able to embody the rebirth in the spring and summer seasons if I didn’t allow myself to reflect deeply, go inward, and slow down during the winter months.

I tap into the sensation through walks. I know that sounds cliche, but there’s something about watching nature do her thing in real-time that reminds me I have permission to do my thing as well.

When you find yourself between seasons—or between cycles—what’s the one question that’s non-negotiable for you? The one you have to answer before you move forward.

Nicole: The one question for me would be: is it a hell yes or hell no.
I’m a 2/4 profile in Human Design, and I need to become a hermit before I take the stage. Following my intuition and listening to my gut by asking that question nearly always proves the best course of action for me.

With your background in dance, Yoga, Meditation and wellness, how do you turn off the spotlight now—versus how you handled visibility and performance early in your career?
I had an edge in corporate that feels old to me. Today, I lean more into questions than telling, which feels aligned with being in my late 40s. I’m so curious how that shift has shown up for you.

Nicole: I’ve been a leader in my household and in my career for as long as I can remember, so I’m doing my best to lean into my feminine and receive. One of my words for this year is reciprocity, which has been a challenge but also really important in terms of embodiment.

I feel a difference when I’m allowing people to help me, when I’m allowing myself to show up softer. And I never would have leaned into that earlier in my career. I would have always hustled and pushed through the no’s and the rejection, whereas now, I feel into it.

Again, that’s a thought always coming back to intuition.

And that’s the thing about seasons—nature’s and our own. We’re never all in the same one, even when the calendar insists otherwise. Some of us are thawing. Some are planting. Some are bravely resting while the world tells us to bloom faster. There’s no prize for skipping winter, no gold star for forcing spring.

Nicole is a walking reminder that strength can be quiet, intuition can lead, and slowing down is not a detour—it’s part of the design. Whether you’re deep in reflection, standing in the in-between, or feeling that first spark of forward motion, your only real job is to listen.

No rushing. No comparing seasons. Just asking: Is this a hell yes or a sacred no or a not right now? Trusting that wherever you are right now, is the most important place to be.

As a working parent and a sandwich caregiver in my early 30s, I understand the pressures to keep going, provide for my family and prioritize everyone else’s wellbeing.

I looked in many corners and could not find one coach to break into my inner blockages and move my career until Reiki and a Career Coach got me there. We can be all the things to everyone, but first, we must get aligned and intuitively move forward for our own .
