The Bubbles Effect Classic Bubbly Convo with Casey Muze

  1. The Bubbles Effect Classic Bubbly Convo with Casey Muze Nicole Bernard 44:04

Happy Friday, y’all! Which means, it’s time for a classic bubbly conversation 🥂This week I sit down with rhythm-loving speaker and music therapist Casey Muse to talk about something we don’t discuss nearly enough as entrepreneurs: regulation, resilience, and the power of rhythm. 🎶

Casey believes the brain listens better when the hands are moving, and once you hear him explain it, you’ll never think about leadership, Trauma, or discipline the same way again. 🫶

We dive into:

  • How rhythm and neuroscience work together to regulate the nervous system

  • Why trauma isn’t just a “red flag,” but information your body is holding

  • The connection between memory, emotional response, and leadership

  • What resilience actually looks like when momentum disappears

  • Why discipline, not motivation, is the real key to long-term success

  • And the quiet truth behind “you’re just not good enough yet” (in the best way)

Casey shares his journey from drumming on pots and pans at age two to building a music Therapy practice, mentoring young men through his programs, and speaking nationally about rhythm, regulation, and resilience. 🥁We also talk entrepreneurship, storytelling as marketing, weekly cigar rituals, Dutch Bros coffee, and flip the script at the end so he interviews me back (which was way more fun than I expected!).

This one is deep, honest, a little nerdy (in the best neuroscience way), and packed with perspective for any business owner who’s ever felt overwhelmed, burned out, or like their momentum disappeared.

If you’ve been pushing nonstop without pausing to regulate your own nervous system… this conversation might be your reminder. ❤️

Nicole Bernard Podcast Host & Marketing Strategist

I started my first entrepreneurial journey in 2007 with my husband. We decided to start an organic farm & micro-brewery in the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

During the seven years that we ran Acadian Farms & Brewery, I was in charge of all things marketing- everything from events, to social media to website design.

Learning + doing everything on my own, I created an SEO-friendly website that reached #1 on Google and utilized the power of social media and influencer outreach to get featured in prominent publications like The Oregonian, Portland Monthly and The Seattle Times, as well as popular craft beer blogs.

AND MY MISSION!
After closing our doors due to creating too much traffic (marketing works 😉), I wanted to take what I learned from the experience and help other small businesses. So I spent the next few years working at digital marketing agencies and expanded my marketing chops by learning the systems, tools and strategies implemented by agencies to achieve massive growth.

And that's what I'm sharing with you- knowledge from both sides! I truly wish that I had a step-by-step strategy to follow when we were growing our business, but there wasn't one.

When I'm not working, you can find me camping with my two kids, husband and rescue dog, running or drinking a glass of wine!
