I Ain’t Afraid Of No Phone…Ok, Maybe I Am &Raquo; 1Lx1Fictifqqrh6Oh9 Xblq

Look at those beautifully manicured nails This is a reprint of a classic blog that I wrote in February 2020 when I first started my company Shiageto Consulting. Enjoy! Did you know that the humble phone call is dying at a rate of c.2.5% fewer phone calls each year in the UK? This is particularly marked for a certain demographic; a 2018 study found that 25% of people had not made a single call from their mobile phone in the previous year. I mean, I like a gif or a text like the next person but no calls whatsoever?? Wow!! I must admit, I used to be a person who hated the thought of having to call... Continue Reading

When you feel fear, treat it as an opportunity. This can be challenging when focusing on fear is the last thing you want to do. It is especially true when we are afraid of failure, rejection, or criticism. However, if we grasp onto this fear, it can help guide us to success. This is what my grandson said to his mum when she asked him how he could defeat his fears. Have you ever been afraid of something? Fear is a normal emotion and we can overcome it. It is just like any other obstacle we face. We can either choose to fight our fears or run away from them in defeat. Fear is a normal human emotion,... Continue Reading

Fear and writing
March 24th, 2023

As a writer, fear is something that’s been with me since I started my writing. It can be overbearing, overwhelming, and downright debilitating. But I refuse to let it win. I’ve written a lot about fear and how to overcome it, but I think it’s important to say that fear is good. Fear is your friend, not an enemy. Fear keeps you on your toes and helps you be aware of potential dangers. When you feel fear, treat it as an opportunity to learn something new or reach beyond what you thought possible. And once you finish overcoming that fear, or just disagreeing with its message (for example: finishing... Continue Reading

Facing your fears 2
March 23rd, 2023

When you feel that fear, treat it as an opportunity and grasp onto it. By doing so, you’ll meet your goals and overcome anything.  I’m sure you’ve heard a variation of this phrase before. My 12-year-old grandson said this to his mum when he was talking about her fears about his avocation. He was reminding her he had a sense of what he needed to do and what he could do to stay motivated. Napoleon Hill, who wrote “Think and Grow Rich” in the last century, said that fear should not be seen as something to be feared — but something we can use fear as motivation for outstanding success! I... Continue Reading

Facing your Fears
March 22nd, 2023

Today and tomorrow I am going to talk about fear. There are many things that scare us in life, whether it’s the thought of failing or just not having enough money to pay our bills. But, the thing is, when you feel that fear, treat it as an opportunity and grasp onto it. When you beat that fear, you will meet your goals – a goal accomplished by facing your fears head-on. Fear is a powerful emotion. It can keep you stuck and powerless to the things that scare you most, but it doesn’t have to. Fear can be your friend if you let it motivate you toward what’s important to you. Fear is a... Continue Reading

How to identify the fear of success?
May 6th, 2022

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. Marianne Williamson I am a big fan of Marianne Williamson. She embodies spirituality, intelligence, and integrity with everything she says and does. Though another reason why I feel close to her is that we carry the same last name. She states the above quote in her book A Return to Love. And she continues by saying, “We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are... Continue Reading
