Who am I?
Teresa is a highly experienced Registered Nurse
with nearly 40 years in healthcare, specializing in various areas such as
Emergency and Trauma, ICU, Rehab, Hospice, Home Care, and Memory Care. As the
founder of A Better Approach to Memory Care, she brings personal experience caring for her
mother with dementia. This inspired her to become a Certified Dementia
Practitioner and train under Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care (PAC).
Teresa has shared her expertise through speaking engagements, staff training,
and family consultations, working with first responders, healthcare
professionals, and caregivers. In 2023, she launched the Memory Care with Teresa Youngstrom podcast to support families and caregivers
dealing with dementia.
