Citizenship

Beyond the legal status of citizenship, our duties include actively participating in our community through volunteerism and civic engagement, respecting the rights, opinions and diversity of others, and upholding the principles of democracy and the rule of law. In this section of the site, our Experts explore all of these timely topics and more for the Baby Boomer Generation.

Civic duties and responsibilities include of course abiding by the law. Paying taxes, serving on a jury and participating in the Democratic Process by voting and participating in community events are also part of our civic duties. Volunteering our time to non-profit organizations and local causes is part of our community engagement. Respecting each others rights and beliefs and promoting harmony in our neighborhoods and cities are also key components of our citizenship responsibilities. Honesty and fairness, kindness and compassion, and accountability are just part of the ethical and moral obligations of being a citizen.
