Mediumship vs Clairvoyance

My gifts are new but bold and strong and part of the ‘clairs’. I learned to use and receive my ability to hear and see things through my Reiki training and a lot of faith and practice.

My clair-gifts.

Vibrant COLORS: I see colors of energy ranging from metallics to primary colors. These range from inside the body’s energy centers (chakras) to rays of color moving around clients like an a lid of a pot in all directions. Everything has a meaning, which I bring into my sessions.

Geometric SHAPES: Energy can look like a 2D flat shape sitting on your physical body or shapes can be 5D, rotating around you or having energy emitting off of the shape. It helps me know how vibrant your chakras are, what’s most alive, where you can lean in more.

Loud WORDS: When I start sessions, I Love to call in your guides. Guides often tell me words on repeat in the session. This helps me share these words, phrases or inspiration that might help my clients.

Clear IMAGES: Often I see something of significance to you now like a plant in your room or outside of your window. Other times I see feathers, drawings or animal images. Last night, I saw wings.

If you wonder what this might be like or if you have gifts you need to tap into, here are a few practical translations for your daily life.

1. Your eyes are closed but you start seeing colors flash in your eyes.

2. You have a strong smell in a location that smell should not exist.

3. Repeat imagery or dreams of symbols keep occurring in books, online, on the roads.

4. Words that keep repeating in your mind or you hear intuitively.

Although I do get information from my guides and anyone I’m working with, I cannot call myself a Medium. The phrase, “I see dead people” is the quote that pops into my mind often.

I recently asked my Medium friend, Kelly, her definition of Mediums (her) vs Clairvoyants (me!)— they are not that dissimilar.

Kelly writes, ‘Clairvoyance means “clear seeing” – being able to see visions of future events and visual imagery in the mind. It is one of the five clair’s which include clairvoyance (seeing), clairaudience (hearing), clairsentience (feeling), claircognizance (knowing) and clairgustance (tasting).

Mediums tap into all five of these different types of clairs when communicating with spirits. Someone who identifies as strictly a clairvoyant and doesn’t have the ability to channel spirit is [still] able to see visions of the past, present and future in the mind’s eye.”

Translation: Kelly works with those who have passed. I work with spirit guides, animal guides and other images, messages from universal energy.
