Daily Looks: Week Ending 8.23.24

We ventured up to Flagstaff on Thursday and it was like experiencing autumn. But for us in the Phoenix area, we have 2 more months of summer. I’m not complaining because I like the heat better than the cold.
And soon it will be cool enough for breakfast on the patio.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Sunday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 8.23.24 &Raquo; Sun 1
Dress: Windsor-thrifted for $1~~Top: Express-Your Revolving Closet~~Sandals: Ros “Lydia” c/o

I found this dress for $1 and while I realize it’s a fast fashion company, I thought I could wear it so it doesn’t end up in a landfill.

I thought it worked perfectly with my one-shoulder top from Your Revolving Closet over it.

I’ve had the sandals for years and wore them on our Caribbean cruise 4 years ago for both evening and day activities. They are still available on the Ros site and come in many colors. Not only are they comfy because of the tiny pillows and they come in narrow widths along with wide wide, I think the style is one that can be dressy or casual.

I also wore red accessories. The shoulder-scraping earrings were made by a fabulous woman I am lucky to call a friend. Thanks, Judy.

Monday

Dress: Banana Republic ~~Top: Lush- Your Revolving Closet~~Sandals: Jessica Simpson-DSW

I decided to use the same trick as Sunday with a top over a dress. It worked wonderfully since this pink top seemed a bit low-cut for me.

I bought this dress years ago while searching for the perfect airplane dress (as described here). Yet, it’s also good for hanging around.

We don’t have much planned today besides finishing up some home projects, but I like to start off by making sure I’m dressed and ready to go just in case.

I decided to finally wear this denim flower necklace I found on sale from this local designer. It’s only $5 and I figured I could wear it many ways.

The sandals are a navy and pink glitter material and I made sure to convert the ankle straps to velcro.

Here is that blog post or video if you’ve never seen it. I consider it the BEST hack ever for ease of getting ankle strap shoes on and off. I still get comments on my YouTube video from women thanking me for this idea.

Tuesday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 8.23.24 &Raquo; Tues 1
Shorts: Old Navy~~Top: Express- Your Revolving Closet~~Sandals: Jambu c/o

This isn’t my favorite outfit of all time. I’m not sure why, but not every day can be a winner right? We have massages today, so I needed something easy to take off and on. In fact, I ought to grab a hat before we go.

The print blouse is from Your Revolving Closet and I needed my body tape with it instead of a normal bra. It was the last of the roll, so I had to order more. If you want to try it, either use my link or the code JTOUCHOFSTYLE for a 30% discount.

The cotton shorts are a simple pair from Old Navy this year. They aren’t still available in this color but they are on super sale.

I paired my cognac sandals from last spring’s Jambu collection. This sandal isn’t available now but the company is having some good sales on this year’s selections.

I wore big statement earrings and my newest pair of eyeglasses from Caddis.

It’s hard to see that I wore a clip-on earring in the middle of the bow of the top in this picture which is why I used this outfit for my title photo so you can see it better.

Wednesday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 8.23.24 &Raquo; Wed 1
Joggers: no label-Just Be Youtiful~~Top: Old Navy~~Sandals: LC-Kohls

Today was dog training, so these lightweight, cotton joggers were perfect for the day. Just Be Youtiful has these joggers in many different prints, and they are like wearing pj bottoms. She will ship in the USA, so reach out on her FB page to ask what she has in store. PLUS get a discount with code JTouch15.

I’ve had this top for over 6 years and I still see a lot of one-shoulder tops.

My inspiration for the look was this art-inspired handmade bucket hat. Mine is the City of Angels hat which is reversible also. Code Jtouchofstyle gives you a discount.

Then I wore an old pair of sandals and one shoulder scraping earring. Only on the one side because there was too much going on with the ponytail and ruffle on the other side (instead I wore a stud earring on that side).

Friday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 8.23.24 &Raquo; Friday 1
Skirt: Banana Republic~~Top: Naked Zebra-thrifted~~Shoes: Comeshun-thrifted from Goodwill

I wanted to wear this green, ruffle-back top I picked up for $1 a month ago. If you get my emails, you saw the ruffle back. Thankfully I have my Gatherall bra (since I just ran out of my body tape and ordered anew).

I’m wearing this rust ruffle wrap skirt that was part of my Puerto Rico suitcase (along with the matching top for one of the dinner-time looks).

Then I thought the green sandals would be a fun option and kept my hair back with a light pink headband. The brown crystal necklace is over 10 years old and even though I haven’t worn it in ages, I’m glad I kept it.

It’s hard to see, but I’m using one of my scarf clips with the wrap skirt ties instead of making a bow with them. It’s a flatter way to create a knot.

Thank you
