Daily Looks: Week Ending 7.19.24
I usually change clothes 3 times a day. Dog walking in the morning outfit, then I change into my daily outfit, and then I change back into my dog walking outfit for the evening. Usually, the dog walking look is the same for the morning and night. Although the night one may have fewer layers.
You saw my PT outfit if you get my Saturday email. I think thrifting is the perfect place to pick up athleisurewear.
I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
Saturday
I was going over to Just Be Youtiful to help out with a group that would be there. I wore this “dress” that can also be styled as a skirt. The ties that go around my shoulders can be wrapped in a ton of different ways, very similar to the Magic Dress I showcased recently.
These sequin booties were a recent find while thrifting, and even though it was 100+ degrees outside, I had to wear them.
I’m also wearing a “girl’ necklace that I’ve shortened with my clear elastic.
I am wearing a dark blue cami under the dress only because I knew that I was going to pull the top of the dress down to showcase how it could be changed up.
Sunday
Today we are heading over to the Home & Garden show so I needed something that was easy to walk around in. I’ll also be taking a jacket in case it’s chilly.
I’ve had these pants for years and love how the wide leg is so in style now. I paired them with this spaghetti strap top from Your Revolving Closet.
Instead of a necklace, I wore a clip-on earring as decoration on the top.
And these shoulder scraping earrings are from a local jewelry designer who is having an incredible sale. My earrings are sold out now, but there are other great options.
I wore my Modzori sandals because I needed height with the pants and needed comfort for walking.
Monday
I consider this the kind of go-to dress for the summer. It’s easy, colorful and you just add shoes and you’re ready to go.
Of course, I have to add decoration too. I used a clip-on earring at the “v” and then wore flower earrings and a white/turquoise bracelet.
The sandals are a pair that I bought from Ros when they were having their big sale recently. I love the fact that they are so comfy for walking yet, these have metallic bling on them. They come in a variety of colors and are like wearing slippers.
Tuesday
We have Tai Chi later this morning, and while I don’t mind changing, it’s always nice to not have to change everything if possible.
So the cargo pants and t-shirt are the foundation for my daily outfit AND my Tai Chi outfit.
I thought this thrifted colorful belt was the perfect transition between the two colors and then I wore multi-colored shoes, earrings (yes, they don’t match on purpose), and a bracelet.
These cargo pants are great because they are lightweight. Mine are from last season, but they have a similar style selling now too.
I did change to sneakers for Tai Chi class.
Wednesday
Two days in a row where I could be the model for Old Navy, haha. Today we had an indoor dog training class, which is one place where I don’t wear skirts or dresses.
These shorts are many years old when I bought shorter inseam shorts. Even though I usually buy them longer now, I still wear my old ones.
Wearing the vest with the shorts seemed to counteract the idea that they might be too short.
But what I did do after these photos is use a clip in the back of the vest to make it more fitted.
I like this type of strappy bralette under my vests to add a layer but not add heat.
And did you notice that the sandals are orange even though the vest is red? I thought they still looked good.
After using these tassels on Friday’s outfit last week at the shoulders, I decided to use them around a pair of stud earrings.
Considering the tassels were 10 cents each, I’ve gotten my Money’s worth already.
Friday
I wore this skirt last Friday with a darker top. I really think it would be fabulous with blues and greens too, but this time I wore it with a pink striped top. Print mixing at its best.
The sandals were a purchased when Ros was having their 70% off sale. Seriously, the best deal on comfy shoes. They may have another good sale, so it could behoove you to sign up for their emails.
BTW, I think everyone should sign up for the 30 day free trial from Your Revolving Closet. It’s super easy to cancel before you get charged a fee, and it’s a great way to try out brands you’ve never heard of.
You can see all of the items I’ve rented over this year.
