With summer weather going strong, I still had fun trying out different clothing brands while staying cool.
My emails are my way of sharing fun, positive content with you from all the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
We are off thrifting and running errands, plus having a small happy hour for friends later today.
I’m wearing the Planet by Lauren G flood pants, which are a lightweight cotton and good for the heat. I talked about how I’m collaborating with this company to show some of their pieces, and then I send them back. They aren’t budget-oriented, but I wanted to see what they were like.
Do I Love these pants? The material doesn’t seem like the cotton I’m used to…maybe after they are washed.
I was given a discount code if you’re interested, JODIEFILOGOMO.
I wore a thrifted, cropped tank top and colorful sneakers.
Then I added a metal belt (with a scarf clip attached) and gold statement earrings.
Don’t forget my colorful sneakers, which are still available at DSW.
SUNDAY
Another outfit from Planet by Lauren G. These gauchos are ones that I picked out because they are so me. I like these better than the pants from yesterday.
Then the paintbrush sweater added print mixing, so I thought it would be fun to combine the 2. It might seem weird to wear a “sweater” in summer, but it’s very lightweight and perfect for church, where it’s very chilly.
Of course, I had to add another color, so I layered a cami tank under the sweater and used a brooch to hike it up.
I wore yellow sandals and glasses.
Discount code in Saturday’s blurb.
And with this tank, I’m wearing Hollywood fashion boob tape, which I like more than the other boob tapes I’ve tried.

MONDAY
I was supposed to go to the bins today, but it got cancelled. However, I had this outfit picked out ahead of time and decided to wear it anyway.
I cut these pants to create shorts this length, and I find I wear them much more as long shorts.
I knew I wanted to wear my newest UIN sneakers (they are so me). BTW, they say and show as yellow on their site, but I would call them orange…not yellow.
And I paired this “dressy” top (worn in an article about frumpy combinations back in 2020) because casual and fancy play well together.
Instead of a necklace, I placed a brooch at the top of my shirt.
TUESDAY
I call this a serious outfit with whimsical accessories.
We are off to the Oral Surgeon for Rob today, so I figured a serious outfit was in order. But of course, I had to whimsify it to make it “me.”
The skirt is thrifted (and I think it was handmade). The jacket is one I bought AFTER I retired, but I love a good blazer.
Then I wore my new sandals from Aldi’s (yes, Aldi’s) and added a tassel necklace, fun earrings, and even a clip-on earring on each sandal strap.
Need more ideas for using clip-on earrings? I’ve got you covered with this article.

WEDNESDAY
Another day, another trip to the Oral Surgeon for Rob and a follow-up at the dentist for my mom.
I wouldn’t say this is the most professional look, but I wanted to have fun too.
This fringe skirt might be saved for winter since it’s faux-suede, but it’s not really that heavy.
I paired it with this tube top I knitted (worn with a jacket in the past) and then my silk shirtdress as a duster.
The first time I wore this shirtdress as a duster, I was convinced it was magic. It solved all the issues I had with it.
My secret is how I hold some of the back together to make it more open in the front (seen in my Saturday email).
Then I wore tan heels, a metal belt, and gold earrings.
FRIDAY
This is another incredible dress from TaleThread. The site where you can customize a dress, making the sleeves the length you want, the neckline different, and the length of the piece.
I wrote about them here, and I hope we can all support them. It’s an incredible concept with an incredible price.
I chose this dress because
1-It’s SO me, with the happy print. What you don’t notice is a scattering of clear sequins that shine in the sunlight.
2-It’s cotton.
3-I changed it to have a square neckline and be mid calf. I like the cap sleeves, but there are at least 6 other options.
While my exact dress is sold out right now, there is a larger variety of other options that I hope you check out.
Use code JODIE for 10% off.
There are even linen options (I love this one), or this colorful one is so fun (remember you can make it have the sleeve length you want and see how it would look)
We are off to a friend’s wedding today, so I wore skin colored sandals and white flower earrings. I’ll take a jacket or a cardigan too.

My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
I hope I thank you enough because your support allows me to continue this journey, which I LOVE!!!
