One day I even included 2 outfits since I changed clothes. Yet that day, I still wore the same dress, but I bet you’d never realize it.

SATURDAY

After embroidering my grey jeans after they got stained weeks ago, I ended up ordering these barrel leg jeans from Old Navy.

While the shape is controversial (especially among those who have been brainwashed that all clothing should be flattering–let’s rethink that), I have to admit that I LOVE the baggy shape yet it isn’t overpowering like some of the wide-leg jeans can be.

I created a TT video with my thoughts and tips about this outfit.

My idea was to pair them with other statement pieces like:
-whimsical sweater (worn with my embroidered blazer)
-fuzzy thrifted pink jacket
-thrifted zebra booties (zebra print styling)
interesting eyeglasses

SUNDAY

I changed in the middle of the day because we went to a housewarming party.

In the morning, I took a cue from my blog post this week. The striped dress was my mom’s but she gifted it to me being it was a tad snug on her. She was going to cut it off to make a shirt, but I asked for it instead.
The tan dress is from Valerie’s Avenue although not available now. However, you can get anything on her site with a discount using Jodie15. The belt is home decor that I decided would be cute as a belt. And the floral booties were found thrifting this summer in Idaho. I included shoulder-scraping earrings made by my friend, Judy, and a bracelet.

In the afternoon, I decided to try to wear the barrel-leg jeans again only with sneakers. Notice I kept the striped dress on, I just pulled it up to make it a top. And then layered a lightweight cardigan over it and added pops of pink with my:
-Sneakers (Cariuma)
-earrings (on Amazon under $5 and comes in many varieties)
-Toppers on glasses (Pair eyewear written about here)
-Headwrap.

MONDAY

This was the Anthro skirt that I thrifted most recently. While I love the idea of NOT matching to the colors in an item, I gave in and wore the pinks and blues that are in the skirt.

I added extra with my fur-trimmed dickey (from Just Be Youtiful) and my striped sneakers to include some print mixing.

The best part about the outfit is the earrings. I included a photo at the top of this post so you can appreciate them. And they are a deal on Amazon.

TUESDAY

Another nod to a blog post this week is the idea of wearing shorts in winter. I had pulled out these tights to consider wearing with something else and figured I should wear them.

So I found these burgundy leather shorts (my last purchase from eShakti before they closed) and had fun.

The polka dot blouse is girly, the pink vest is more classic, and then the shorts add a bit of edginess.

The booties are a favorite because they are unique and the heel is low. They are under $35 and use code COMFY10 for another discount. They also come in solid red and solid black. Because they are a discontinued style, the sizes are limited.

THURSDAY

See? I wear neutrals sometimes. This skirt was from my recent Goodwill trip and will be perfect for summer since it’s cotton.

SINCE it’s cotton, it’s wrinkled, but I decided to go with that detail and style more casual textured items instead of trying to iron it and keep it smooth.

I’m going with mom to an appointment, so I wanted to look somewhat professional, yet casual.

This embroidered top has been worn with brown pants and this brown stained denim jacket with fur trim is from Just Be Youtiful. The advantage of this denim jacket is it’s more unique than your traditional blue jean jacket.

My gold flats are still available and I wear them often. Other gold:
-bling pin
-earrings
-thrifted belt

FRIDAY

I was excited to try out another pair of Orthofeet sneakers. They aren’t hands free, but I have them tied loose enough that I can cheat and slide my foot in without untying them.

Insider detail: Orthofeet shoes come with extra spacers, and an arch booster and are built to alleviate foot issues.

One way I tried to make the athletic sneakers seem more “fashionable” is by adding these pearl trimmed socks.

I layered a cardigan under the sleeveless dress (found at Just Be Youtiful) and added a belt with turquoise jewelry.

Thank you
