How to make money on Printify
By Corey Walker
Do you have a creative side you've been itching to turn into a fun side business? I do…I'm always thinking of different side hustles. About six months ago, I stumbled upon the world of print-on-demand using a site called Printify.
Here's how it works:
Printify.com has hundreds of “blank” products to choose from. T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, tote bags, candles, etc.
You choose which product you want to sell, then using Canva, create and upload your own design
Price the item, write a description, and send it to your website, Etsy, or another platform
Promote it and wait for sales to come in!
In the beginning, I designed a few mugs that corresponded with my marketing brand, and were geared towards female business owners. I sold a few here and there, but it didn't take off as I planned. I was purely selling them on my own website, and honestly don't have huge web traffic to the shop, so unless I pushed them hard on social media, they weren't going to be magically found.
After doing more research, I decided that Etsy was the way to go since millions of people were already searching for products there daily. I dove deeper down the print-on-demand and Etsy rabbit hole, learning about finding trends, using SEO and tags in my descriptions, and running a low-cost daily Etsy ad.
Once I had all of these systems in place, I started to get sales, mostly on candles like the one pictured. There is nothing better than hearing that “Ca-Ching!” every time a sale comes through. It is currently the holiday season, so I am seeing between 5-8 orders a day. Taking into account the cost of the goods, shipping and Etsy fees, in the last 30 days I have profited $1,712.
I have been loving using Printify as my product partner. Not only do they have tons of products to choose from, they make it really easy to add designs, and upload a listing to my website and Etsy. I have also had 0 customer complaints or issues on the quality or shipping of the orders.
If you are looking to make extra Money in 2024, I highly recommend giving Printify a try. If you are new to this type of business, they have a ton of tutorials, webinars and podcasts where experts give you all of their knowledge and tips. I picked up quite a bit of info from all of their resources.
