Daily Looks: Week Ending 10.25.24

You know what that date means? We are 2 months away from Christmas which means tons of holiday sales and promotions.
If you’re like me, I get very tired of these sales and promotions, yet in all reality, I love to shop them.

That’s why I don’t often share gift guides on my website, but I occasionally share in my emails a great deal or small business that might be beneficial for your holiday shopping.

The above is another great reason to sign up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Dress: Victoria’s Secret~~Blazer-Venti6-Just Be Youtiful~~Booties: Crown Vintage-thrifted

Today was an anniversary event at my favorite local boutique, Just Be Youtiful. I know you saw this blazer recently styled with 10 different dresses, but it was a chilly morning in Arizona and I wanted to showcase it because she has these for sale again.
The best part about modern blazers is they can be stretchy, soft, and oh-so comfy. Like this one. And the price is fabulous too at only $50.

One of the things I discussed at the boutique was how it behooves us to grow beyond the fashion rules we learned over our younger years.
For example, I’ve been told countless times we shouldn’t break up a vertical line so we can look taller and slimmer.

HOGWASH. Even when I asked everyone’s opinion in this video, the majority liked the look with the belt as opposed to without the belt.

I think it’s high time to wear the fun things and have fun with our style. Bringing a personal twist to every outfit and embracing your unique style is a fabulous goal.

Anyways…I kept the sleeves turned up with a decorated pin that doesn’t need to puncture the material (as I’ve shown in this video).

I wore thrifted booties, my belt which is thrifted, and earrings that I won in a giveaway. Plus my Caddis glasses.

Sunday

Pants: Rafaella-Sams~~Blazer: Escada-thrifted~~Shoes: WHBM-thrifted

I found these pants at Sam’s last weekend and for some reason, they tickled my fancy. I had to take in the waistband, and I might need to shorten them too. But the plaid (which is not as crazy in real life) is one of those that works so well with print mixing.

BTW, here’s a better photo of the print and you can even get them on Sam’s website…who knew?

This morning was chilly so I added a thrifted blazer and wore thrifted black and white kitten heels.

Monday

Skirt: Free People-TJMaxx~~Top: Express-Your Revolving Closet~~Loafers: Ros (formerly Walking Cradles)

Both of these black and white tops were in my last Your Revolving Closet box. Even though I chose them, I wasn’t as happy with them when they were delivered to me until I decided to wear them together.

The mix of black and white stripes makes it more fun for me, and I decided to go all in with the print mix.

Insider tip: The striped blouse seemed too overwhelming just hanging as is, so I used my clear elastics to create “knots”.

I wore this red plaid skirt that I used to demonstrate my color recipe years ago.

On my feet are spotted loafers that are comfy like you wouldn’t believe. While the brand doesn’t carry this exact style anymore, you can find a bunch of fabulous flats on their site, and many are on sale.
There are many things that make this brand super comfy, one of them being the tiny pillows in the sole.

Then I accessorized with turquoise jewelry just because I could.

Tuesday

Today is Tai Chi but that doesn’t mean I have to wear leggings and a t-shirt, right? I wanted to wear these lightweight jeans that I’ve had for over 5 years.

It’s a good example of how taking a photo can help you decide what to wear. At first, I chose these floral blue sneakers, but after taking the photo, I felt I needed something different.
The silver glitter sneakers are better because of the shine BUT ALSO I like that you see some naked skin.

Insider tip: Remember bare skin can be an important part of styling.

I picked up the sweater when a thrift store was going out of business this summer so it’s my first time wearing it. It’s longer, so I tucked it up under my beltless belt. The video is coming soon.

Wednesday

Dress: Valerie’s Avenue~~Belt: Valerie’s Avenue~~Shoes: Banana Republic Factory

I wanted to wear my new pieces from the small business I recently talked about in an email. I’m working with Valerie’s Avenue after I won a purse from her 2 years ago and now she has an affiliate program.

Insider discount: Save 15% with code JODIE15 on already budget prices. There are a lot of great purses and jewelry (in the clearance tab) that would be wonderful for holiday gifts.

The dress will be perfect for layering both over and under when it cools down and while it comes with a self-belt, I thought this leopard elastic belt was even better.

I layered 2 necklaces and wore those ribbons on my Mary Janes again.

Friday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 10.25.24 &Raquo; Friday 1
Pants: Zara~~Top: Outback Red~~Sneakers: Drew (No Hands, No Hassle) c/o

Wow, I wore pants 3 days this week. I think that’s a record. But I was so excited to wear these sneakers not just for dog walking. And how cute do they look with these pants?

You’ll hear all about these sneakers soon, but suffice it to say, the no-hands detail has become one of my favorite EVER.

These pants were from Zara’s years ago and they are super duper lightweight. I’ve had the sweater even longer and do you want to know a secret? I’m wearing it backward. The bow is made for the back of the sweater, but I decided to use it for my front decoration.

The matching earrings and toppers on my glasses along with a great bracelet complete the look.
This bracelet I bought from Valerie’s Avenue a year ago. She doesn’t have the exact one now, but she has many that are very budget-oriented. Discount code JODIE15
