From Construction to AI: Tommy’s Journey of Success, Inclusivity, and Giving Back

What if your personal failures could pave the way for your greatest successes? Join us as we sit down with Tommy, a dynamic entrepreneur whose journey spans from construction to AI, and who is making waves by applying lessons learned across different sectors. This episode kicks off with Tommy’s transformative moment in 2020 that shifted his focus towards helping others succeed. We also spotlight his remarkable initiative, the Pride Construction Coalition, which supports LGBTQ+ individuals in the construction industry, and discuss the importance of creating inclusive environments.

Together, we explore the value of giving back through meaningful partnerships and volunteer efforts. Listen to heartwarming stories like Tommy’s support for the Florida Aquarium and organizing a shoe drive for refugees, painting a vivid picture of how non-monetary contributions can create lasting community impact. We also dive into the rising trend of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) as a solution for affordable living, and hear insights from Tommy’s book and podcast that reveal the secrets to building success while maintaining humility. This episode is a powerful testament to how a servant’s heart can make a profound difference in both business and life.

Tommy Whitehead is a Licensed Contractor, Podcast host, author, and President and CEO of TomCo Solutions, Inc. — one of only 50 certified LGBTQ Business Enterprises (LGBTBE) in the construction industry nationwide. He’s also the founder of TomCo Capital Partners, Inc. – the only LGBTBE private equity firm in the US. In addition, he is a passionate volunteer and fundraiser for many worthy causes, including serving as current President of the Pride Construction Coalition, Board Member of the Tampa Club, committee member for the Bay Area Bridge Builders, former President of the Tampa Bay Bears, former Treasurer of the GaYbor District Coalition, and in 2023 he was honored as one of the Tampa Bay Business Journal OUTstanding Voices, Tampa Club 40 under 40, and was a Tampa Bay Business and Wealth Magazine’s Individual Philanthropist of the Year nominee. When he’s not working or Volunteering, Tommy enjoys theme parks, museums and relaxing by a pool with his husband, Nathan, and their teenage son, Matthew. Steve Ramona Doing Business with a Servant's Heart

Steve Ramona discovered his calling at a young age and is now on a mission to share his secret sauce for success. He thrives on forging meaningful connections, sharing referrals, and watching people flourish.

His contagious passion for the Law of Increase makes his podcast "Doing Business with a Servant's Heart" so successful. This show is chock-full of inspiring stories about overcoming challenges and serving others.

Steve has a knack for spreading good vibes and elevating those around him. He learned from his dad that the entrepreneurial spirit is a great way to make money. I can share stories of how people serve, struggle and win. We all must overcome something, so why not learn to serve and overcome it much faster? I learned early working in our Health Club the importance of customer service. I learned that the more I served it was a win-win for everyone. I enjoy working with people, referring people, and helping people grow. The Law of Increase is my mission when I network around the world.

I love to mentor business people and offer all the resources I have. To win, you must grow yourself first; then, you can share this with others! I am an avid reader and have built a large book directory on sharing with others.
