Introverts and the Baby Boomer Generation
Introverts are individuals who often prefer calm, minimally stimulating environments and enjoy spending time alone or with a few close friends. Unlike the common misconception that introverts are shy or antisocial, they simply gain energy from solitude and may find excessive social interaction draining. Navigating life as an introverted Baby Boomer can be both a unique challenge and a rewarding journey. While the social norms of our generation may have favored extroverts, it’s never too late to embrace our introverted nature and thrive.
Introversion isn’t about disliking social interactions; it’s about finding value in solitude and smaller, more intimate gatherings. As a Baby Boomer, you might have spent much of your life in busy workplaces and crowded social events. However, being an introvert means you might have a preference for quiet, peaceful spaces where you can think and recharge.
