Tips for Cyber Monday shopping 2022

Cyber-Monday-G701Dd2260_640Fortunately, I was able to get a great deal on Black Friday. I need a new Apple iMac because I can no longer get updates for mine. It’s 12 years old.

I’ve been watching the prices for the Apple 27” iMac with Retina 5K display for months. Finally, for Black Friday, Apple reduced the price $600. A technician will be coming to my home to set it up and transfer the data in December.

As Black Friday sales are beginning to wane, Cyber Monday sales, which, like Black Friday sales are starting earlier, are in full swing.

Both days have become intertwined as retailers offer virtual Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday discounts aren’t limited to online. And in recent years, stores have rolled out deals earlier and earlier, making the Retail holidays practically a month-long event.

For Cyber Monday, keep comparing prices to make sure you’re actually getting a bargain.

As a retail manager once told me, sale prices can be “marked way up, and market way down.”

Some Cyber Monday sales last all week. Check offerings at Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, Lowe’s, Macy’s, and Target, advises Julie Ramhold, senior staff writer/consumer analyst for DealNews.com.

Ramhold suggests consumers look for these deals:

Amazon – t-shirts, beauty brands, clothing, tools, coffeemakers, Wi-Fi systems, headphones, earbuds, dolls, LEGO sets, e-bikes, e-scooters.

Best Buy – laptops, computers, gaming consoles, TVs, video games.

ebay – household items, refurbished products, leaf blowers, Wi-Fi systems, small kitchen appliances.

Lowe’s – home improvement products, holiday decorations, tools, flooring, smart home items, lighting, ceiling fans, major appliances.

Macy’s – clothing, shoes, beauty products.

Target – bedding, clothing, video games, furniture, headphones, bath, toys, LEGO sets, holiday décor.

Good luck with your Cyber Monday shopping. I hope you get some great bargains.
