Happy Halloween! It’s Time To Take Off The Mask! &Raquo; Happyhalloween

Happy Halloween! It’s difficult to believe that the of October is near, and nearly the end of 2023. Yet miraculously the kids were ready to go trick or treating in spite of cold weather. Costumes didn’t turn out as expected, but at the end of the day, each kid pivoted and improvised within 10 minutes of leaving. It was beautiful to watch. It was inspiring to see how they were resillient and creative. One kid couldn’t fit a mask, so he drew his own on plain white paper, cut out eye holes so he could see, and taped it to his head. He didn’t care what others thought,... Continue Reading

The Season Of Change &Raquo; 1000007521

Life happens. Life teaches us lessons if we only listen. We have to quiet the mind. We have to shut out the commotion and noise from the outside world. Truly reflecting and looking at what we need to thrive is important. Prioritizing our needs is a must. It is only then, once we know what we need, which usually reflects, hopefully, our core values can we then make authentic decisions. Change of scary. Change is hard. Who we are today is different than who we were yesterday, and more than likely it is different... Continue Reading

They represent the principles and beliefs that are important to us as individuals, shaping our attitudes, priorities, and goals. Here are some key reasons why personal values are significant: Authenticity and self-awareness: Personal values reflect who we are as individuals. When we understand and live according to our values, we align our actions with our true selves, leading to a sense of authenticity and self-integrity. Clarity and purpose: Values serve as a compass, helping us... Continue Reading

Who’s That Lady?
February 17th, 2023

In my previous post, I shared my personal story about writing a poem intended for a friend of mine, which turned into an eye opening and painful realization that I was my own worst enemy. Self image is a tricky subject to think about, and even more challenging to talk about. I’m just going to throw it out there and say that a lot of us struggle with the image of ourselves. And I’m pretty sure a lot of us are hypercritical about our appearance. I used to think that this only applied to women until I recently discovered through one of my podcast guests that men struggle with their self image... Continue Reading

Through Someone Else’s Eyes
February 10th, 2023

“If I could see what others see I think I’d be surprised If I can only see myself Through someone else’s eyes …” These are the opening lines of a poem I wrote several years ago. I was inspired to write it for a close friend because I was sick and tired of listening to her tear herself down about everything. And I do mean everything. From her looks, her body, her mind, her relationships — the list went on and on. I was tired of her negative and deprecating self talk, and I was exhausted from building her up. It was a full time job and it was wearing me down. Besides, she was a beautiful... Continue Reading
