  1. Episode 529 - Healing Through Heavy Music: Elias Talks Longevity, New Album, and Mental Health Strategies 44:10

In this episode host James Cox sits down with veteran NionPoint Nine frontman Elias Soriano for a candid, behind‑the‑scenes conversation that spans three decades of metal, business, and personal Growth. From swapping nostalgic Voltron and He‑Man stories to detailing the newest partnership with Heavis headphones (and a 40 % discount for fans), the duo dives deep into the creative process behind Nine Point Nine’s upcoming record The Last Word—set to drop on September 18th.

Elias breaks down how the band navigated independent life, the strategic alliance with 361 Records and KMG, and the meticulous craft behind picking the ten “banger” tracks from a pool of over twenty‑four songs. He also shares the meaning behind the album’s stark pencil‑and‑eraser cover art, the lyrical centerpiece “Settled,” and what it feels like to protect one’s art in today’s ever‑shifting industry.

The episode wraps with a rapid‑fire lightning round, revealing Elias’s favorite touring lessons, the smell that transports him to the beach, the concert that changed his life (Korn/Limp Bizkit/Helmet at the UCF Amphitheater), and the artists who have surprised him most on the road.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan, a fellow musician, or anyone looking for a reminder that music can heal, this episode offers a mix of humor, honest industry insight, and the heavy riffs that make Nine Point Nine a legend.

Tune in, crank the volume, and let the conversation prove once again: when words fail, music speaks.
