The Things We’re Not Supposed to Say Out Loud Allison Burton on Burnout, Identity & Invisible Labor

LIVE on The MisFitNation | June 20 at 2 PM CST

What happens when being praised for "handling everything" becomes the very thing that’s breaking us?

Join The MisFitNation as we welcome Allison Burton, speaker, writer, military spouse advocate, and self-described professional truth-teller, for an unfiltered conversation about Burnout, invisible labor, identity loss, resilience culture, and the pressure so many people feel to keep holding everything together even when they’re falling apart.

Allison has built a platform around saying the things most people live but rarely say out loud. Through her writing, speaking, and advocacy work, she challenges the polished narratives surrounding military Family life, resilience, emotional labor, and the expectations placed on caregivers, spouses, and high-achievers. Her mission is simple: put words to experiences people struggle to explain and create conversations that lead to real change.

In This Episode:

✅ The hidden weight of invisible labor
✅ Why burnout is often celebrated instead of addressed
✅ The myth of "just stay strong" culture
✅ Identity loss and reinvention
✅ Military family realities that rarely get discussed
✅ Why resilience should never replace support
✅ Having the courage to say the quiet parts out loud

🎯 Bring your questions live and join the conversation.
