390. Women Who Did: Overcame an Eating Disorder, featuring Morgan

  1. 390. Women Who Did: Overcame an Eating Disorder, featuring Morgan Esther Avant 42:31

Morgan joins me to share her journey from battling an eating disorder as a teenager to becoming an ultramarathoner, author, and mom committed to modeling a healthy relationship with food and fitness.

We talk about what recovery really looked like after inpatient treatment in 2010, how her struggles evolved in college and early adulthood, and the surprising mindset shift that happened when she began training for her first 50-mile race.

Morgan also opens up about the role her stepmom and husband played in her healing, what it means to fuel your body for performance instead of shrinking it, and why raising a daughter has deepened her commitment to living in alignment with her values.

Morgan is an ultramarathoner, Navy wife, mom, and eating disorder survivor. Connect with her on Instagram at @morganleeb_
