Jills info: living with PTSD, a condition that affects 6% of the US population at some point in their lives. Through the innovative Therapy of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy, I experienced a transformation that exceeded my wildest expectations because I no longer qualified for a PTSD diagnosis after three psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy sessions over the course of a year.
In 2017, the FDA granted breakthrough therapy designation for MDMA-assisted psychotherapy in the treatment of PTSD and approval is on the horizon in 2024. I believe that now is the time to start meaningful conversations about this therapy from a patient’s point of view.
Driven by a passion to educate and raise awareness, I’ve written a memoir that details my year of healing ( https://bit.ly/3pWhi7a), a companion workbook to help people craft healing intentions ( https://bit.ly/3DpjgAa), and an educational YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/@TheJourneySage) where I explain the many facets of this therapy to help remove the stigma that surrounds psychedelics.
