In this episode of Fabulous After 50, I interview Idaho-based transformation coach and keynote speaker Sandra Wood about the hidden cost of being “the capable one” and how carrying too much can shift from something women do to who they believe they are.
BIO
After spending years as a devoted wife, stay-at-home mom, and the rock for everyone around her, my guest hit a breaking point—Cancer at 40, Divorce after 20 years, and the daunting task of rebuilding her life and career while raising two teenagers alone. But she didn’t just survive; she transformed.
With nearly two decades as a coach and nonprofit leader—supporting others through their darkest moments at places like Ronald McDonald House and cancer centers—she’s seen firsthand what it means to fall apart and, more importantly, how to piece yourself back together. Now, she helps high-achieving women who’ve lost themselves in the chaos of caring for everyone else. Her work is raw, real, and rooted in her own hard-won Wisdom: “If you don’t go within, you go without.”
