A Review of Time of Justice by Robin James
July 31st, 2022

I love a good legal thriller and I found it in this novel by Robin James. This is my first time reading anything by her and I must say I was taken by her details of the legal and police procedures. If you are a fan of Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) or any other courtroom drama you will enjoy reading this novel.  Meet Mara Brent, a Maumee County (Ohio) prosecutor who has blown the lid off a brutal rape case from twenty years ago. A Review of Sweet Liar (Dirty Sweet Duet #1) by Laurelin Paige
June 30th, 2022

This is the second novel I have read by Laurelin Paige. She knows how to throw two characters together in sexual situations and let them heat up the pages while readers wonder how the story will unfold.  Meet Dylan, a British advertising executive who is in New York for business and spend some time with his teenage son who is living with his ex-wife. While out to dinner with his business partners, he meets Audrey (one of his employee’s younger sister) and promises to drop her home. A Review of Dr. Vigilante by Alberto Hazan
April 30th, 2022

I’m a huge fan of Dexter the TV series where Dexter Morgan is a blood spatter expert by day and a vigilante by night. So, I was immediately drawn to the premise of this novel where Dr. Robert McKenzie is a highly skilled ER doctor (St. Jude’s Hospital) by day and a vigilante by night.  When we first meet Dr. McKenzie, he bumped heads with the new ER social worker, Sharon Reede. A transplant from Indiana to New York City, Sharon was idealistic and always went above and beyond in getting the services the patients needed (e.g., emergency Medicaid, rehab programs, placement at a shelter, etc.).  Everyone... Continue Reading
