A busy, but fun week full of Family events and activities. We had to Travel and stay overnight for a wedding, so I did my trick by wearing the “same thing” coming and going.
My emails are my way of sharing fun, positive content with you from all the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
I started off with this flower dress made back in the day by eShakti (where you could change up the sleeves and hem length).)
Insider tip: Don’t forget there’s a new company that does the same thing, and I hope with our support, they stay in business because it’s such a cool concept and relatively inexpensive. Here’s the review (and discount code) if you missed it.
Shockingly, it was chilly/windy this morning, so I layered a sheer top under the dress and then this duster over it.
If you get my emails, I shared the back of this duster.
I also shared how I “ruched” the front panels so the duster didn’t cover the entire front of the dress.
And my turquoise flats with white sheer socks for fun.
MONDAY
Today we were cooking, so my thought was to wear comfy clothes and shoes (lots of standing around).
I wore these joggers from Just Be Youtiful (also worn on our cruise twice…once with white, and then with green) with a white t-shirt under a blue sweater hoodie vest.
The vest got decorated with brooches:
-at the bottom to hold up the hem asymmetrically
-at the neck (it was my Aunt Nancy’s brooch, so very appropriate since her daughter is here baking with us)
The shoes are comfy Mary Janes that I reviewed last year.

TUESDAY
I have my workout shorts under this skirt and my t-shirt because we are off to Yogalates (The day changed to Tuesdays now).
I’m wearing this thrifted skirt that I bought to match this blazer, and then added the white vest I thrifted last year, which I have worn with the matching shorts.
Then I added my leopard mules.
WEDNESDAY
2 different DIYs in this outfit.
First…the skirt. I’ve had it for over 9 years, and the length seemed awkward (here it is styled with the original hemline).
I finally decided to chop it off, and I kept the leftover material.
Then I knew I wanted to chop this linen dress in half (I haven’t fixed the skirt yet), but after I cut it, the top seemed a tad shorter than what I wanted.
So I sewed the material from the skirt at the bottom.
Today I wore them together. Funny because I think I cut too much off the skirt too…at least walking around, it billowed out, and I felt naked under it….so I ended up wearing little lacey shorts under it.
I wore my multi sneakers and embroidered socks as well as fun accessories.

THURSDAY
We were off to Sedona today, and this outfit is for the bride’s Blessing event.
It’s a knit dress that was hand-me-down over 8 years ago, and I Love the colors.
I wore it with a t-shirt under it because I’m wearing it home again on Friday.
I added my newly painted polka-dot shoes, and I’m wearing the jewelry I’ll be wearing to the wedding tonight.
THURSDAY NIGHT
This is what I wore to the wedding we were attending.
What I found very interesting is that all of the young girls were wearing this length of dress and were very similar in style.
Because it was cooler at night, I wore a maxi skirt UNDER the dress, especially since it has a large slit.
Wanna see the dress worn by itself?
I also added a scarf around my waist and my new sandals, along with my jewelry that used to be my aunt’s (it was her granddaughter getting married).

FRIDAY
This outfit was worn to the wedding brunch and then for the car ride home.
It was MUCH cooler in Sedona, so I wore a long-sleeve t-shirt under the dress and the sweater I DIYed over it.
Same sneakers and jewelry as going up, although I added my aunt’s brooch on the side of the sweater.
Stylist tip: Wearing a knit dress or skirt is very comfy when traveling. For plane rides, I like a longer version, and if you don’t believe me, then just try it once and see.
Granted, not all knit skirts are created equal.
