Our Where Bloggers Live prompt was ‘Favorite Rainy Day Things.’ But when you live in Arizona, a “rainy day” is more of a concept than a regular occurrence. We get less than 10 inches of rain a year, so when the skies do open up, it’s a true event.
Quote of the day: “It only counts as personal Growth if you don’t want to do it.” Unknown
When the rain arrives, my first instinct for a cozy day is always to curl up with a good book. But since I just shared my latest favorites, I decided to mix things up and ask my friends on Instagram which midlife podcasts they Love.
Sure, there are a couple I subscribe to also, and yes, I’ve included those. But I’m giving credit where credit is due.
Personally, podcasts aren’t really my go-to. That’s why I surveyed my friends. But in case you don’t know, most (not absolutely all, but most) podcasts are also shared on YouTube (and that’s how I linked them, so everyone has the chance to listen and/or watch).
So if you’re looking for something to listen to while sipping coffee, organizing your closet, or just taking a moment for yourself, here are 12 (plus an unapologetic plug for our food hauls) of mine and yours (who I surveyed) favorite midlife podcasts across a variety of topics.
These span the gamut from real-life crime to Health, faith, and midlife women’s issues.
While I’m someone who prefers to read the words, there’s an overwhelming trend of listening to books and podcasts right now.
This can be beneficial if you like to multitask. It’s no different than listening to the radio or music while you’re doing other things.
In fact, it’s during our nighttime wind down routine that I listen to the midlife podcasts that were my suggestions, as well as some audiobooks we get from the library.
I’ve broken them down into categories, but some of them include many aspects in that category, so give them a gander.

This was suggested by my friend and sounds to me like the Reader’s Digest’s Drama in Real Life.

What I loved most about putting this list together is realizing that midlife podcasts don’t have to be just Entertainment. There are many that are fabulous tools for living and learning more about life.
Because it’s never too late to feel better, look better, or think better.
I hope you join my email Family. It’s the place where I share things even before creating on my blog. It’s also my space for fun and positive content. In addition, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.

Who doesn’t like to peek behind the scenes and hear all about the personal backstories and interesting details? The best part of this group is that I learn something new from everyone’s different perspectives.
And I bet the others will give a better insight into their favorite rainy day things.
FYI, we don’t all post at the same time since we all have different schedules and live in different parts of the world.
