How to work out with your cat

I’m in Tahoe visiting my daughter Chloe and, at 62, still committed to working out wherever I can.

When I decided to use her dumbbells, resistance bands, and pull-up bar for a workout, the last thing I imagined was that Zion, her very cute and very smart Bengal cat, was going to insist on being part of the action.

That’s when I started filming… although unfortunately I missed the funniest moment when he literally jumped on my back.

At some point, he entertained himself with a workout band, and I decided to have fun with it and alternate between lifting weights and lifting Zion.

By the end of the workout, I wasn’t entirely sure who was more tired… him or me.

When my kids were babies, I used to work out holding them, too. You do what you can with what you have, in whatever season of life you’re in.

I always find a way to move when I Travel. Sometimes it’s a full gym, sometimes it’s a hotel room, sometimes it’s just my travel Yoga mat (not pictured). I never thought I’d be working out with a cat, but apparently that’s now a thing.

And honestly, I’ll take it.
