Phil and I kept noticing people walking around Bosque de Chapultepec with little monkeys on their heads.
At first I thought it was just a random kid. Then we saw another. And another. Families, teenagers, couples, even skateboarders. Clearly locals, not just tourists.
So obviously I had to find out what was going on.
The young man who sold me mine told me the changuitos have been around for years, maybe 20 or so, and that people often buy them when they come to Chapultepec. You fill the little pump with water and spray whoever is with you. It’s silly in the best possible way.
I’m always curious about these little local things you wouldn’t know about unless you were actually there.
Anyway, now at 62, I have a monkey. 😎 This attitude is the fountain of youth. 🤣
Have you ever seen these in CDMX?
