What do I wish for the world in 2026?
If I could summarize it in one word, it would be lightness.
Light. And lightness of being.
That is what I wish to bring into the world.
A reconnection with our inner child — its playfulness, curiosity, hope, and boldness.
The world has changed profoundly over the past decade. Many of us struggle to make sense of it, to recognize ourselves in its values — or sometimes, the lack of them. We feel weighed down. There is so much pain, suffering, greed, and dehumanization that it can feel overwhelming.
Yes, the world feels like a dire place at the moment.
And yes, we should unite and speak out on the issues that matter deeply to us.
We all matter. Every one of us contributes a thread to the tapestry of society.
And perhaps that means it is time to start close to home.
To start with ourselves.
For me, lightness is not naïveté. It is a conscious choice — especially in times that feel heavy.
To rediscover the awe of being alive.
Of nature.
Of human connection and ingenuity.
To look not only at the darkness — so much so that we become blinded to it — but also to notice the small lights: compassion, generosity, Love, joy.
I believe that when we focus more on gratitude and appreciation, we can regain some of that lightness. A lightness we can then share with others. One that gathers momentum and becomes a quiet force for good — softening the shadows and easing the heaviness.
So may 2026 be a year of Light, Love, Laughter, and Lightness of Being.
A year in which we inspire one another and create a momentum of hope.
What will YOU choose?
