April and May are both birthday months in our Family. We recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday and on Sunday we had a birthday celebration for my grandson, Ethan who turns 11 on 28th. In my Sparks of Joy #28 post, I wrote about The Lindt Ball Cheesecake That Came from a Chat which I made for my daughter. Creating a Soccer Ball Cake Each year I make a themed birthday cake for my grandsons and this year, Ethan requested a Soccer Ball Cake. ”Sure, I said” as I usually do and then realise it may not be as easy as it looks. However, with the aid of a Youtube video and some creative assistance from my sous baking chef, Mike, the cake turned out really well and although not perfect, I was very happy with the result. I’m not a professional cake decorator by any means, but I give it a try and as long as the recipient is happy, then I’m happy.
