Life isn’t fair.
We want it to be at times. When it would serve us. But who ever told you life would be fair?
And what would happen if it was? Everything would be even. Everything would happen as it “should”. There’d be no personal Growth, no challenge, nothing new, everything would be nice. And function nicely.
And what would happen? It would be pleasant for a little while and then we would get bored, frustrated, and angry. We want to be the fixer. We want to be the dreamer. We want to stand out. We don’t really want everything even Steven. How boring and predictable that would be.
I agree, sometimes it feels more unfair than others. Sometimes we think we have got it worse. But how did we even come up with that thought?
Why “should” it be so?
And how do you deal with the unfairness of life?
Do you empower yourself and stretch yourself and grow?
Do you study and train and compete?
Or do you whine? Or complain?
Have you ever noticed that we only complain about it when we think we are getting the short end of the deal? Most of us will never say:
Take away my health so it’s fair to those who are sickly.
Take away my Money so I have the same as that homeless man.
Don’t let me have children because some people can’t.
Make me less attractive so we all look the same.
What would happen if life was fair?
Dr. Heather Browne PsyD, LMFT helps people recognize the power of communication. It is one of our most important skills that we have, and yet we don’t consider our understanding, approach, belief, and therefore, miss our possibilities. Living with a paranoid schizophrenic mother gave Dr. Heather a unique and powerful awareness that no one has the same reality, though we believe we do. Utilizing this revolutionary awareness has allowed her to transform communication within self and within all other types of relationship. This is the hidden key to acceptance. And this is her mission to share.
