My brother Mike and I host the Havens Beach Retreat in Perdido/Orange Beach, AL, every year. We bring our wives, Mom and Pop Joe, my sister Mitzi and her husband, the kids and their spouses, and the grandkids, all of who number around 43. Hopefully, you remember the hilarious story of Taco, the Purdie’s cat who mistakenly met a premature death in one of my earlier blogs. The story was so popular, I felt an obligation to share with you that Taco has now lived his nine lives, and for the second time, he received an appropriate burial and ceremony.   What has been enlightening from the experience is how much more the Purdies have enjoyed and appreciated having Taco around the house after his first premature burial. We just celebrated the Christening of our eighth grandchild, Porter James Cross. As part of this family tradition, we also hosted a brunch in our home for family and friends. What a joyous time to be together, to connect, and to celebrate the blessing of life itself.  I must say, Porter was incredible during this ceremony and he is a beautiful baby!   There was another really fun and meaningful family tradition during Porter’s christening. As I conclude my Zoom conference call, I can’t stop chuckling over our conversation. This was our monthly coaching call and he is a high-level executive and a dear friend. Who doesn’t love a 🐫? Did you read about the recent fiasco in Lebanon with the clocks going forward for Spring?
