Saving Money With Your Smartphone

  1. Saving Money With Your Smartphone Marianne Bailey 23:13

It seems like everything we purchase these days has dramatically increased in cost. We are all feeling it. How do we save money? Many of us have reassessed what we are spending our money on. We aren’t buying what we don’t absolutely need. Some people spend $6 a day on a cup of Joe at Starbucks (that same cup used to cost $5!) That’s $2190 a year! That’s a weekend vacation!

Did you know, though, that you could save money with apps designed to help you do so on your smartphone? There are all kinds of apps out there including these:

Dosh

Ibotta

Coupons.com

Rakuten

RetailMeNot

CapitalOne

Zelle

and more!

Most of these apps work with Android and iOS phones alike. If for some reason you can not find them in the app store, check the spelling.

In this podcast, I help you understand why you should take a look at some of these apps and why you should do some research and figure out which ones will help you save the most money. This can vary depending on whether you shop in-store vs. online. Just be open-minded and don’t give up if one app doesn’t fit your lifestyle or needs. Just try a different one!
