Story Prompt Friday: Focusing on the Internal Feeling of Self-Definition

  1. Story Prompt Friday: Focusing on the Internal Feeling of Self-Definition 2:56

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

What happens when we women focus on self-definition? Maybe like me you come closer to your Wisdom and insight.

The insight—the thing you have actually come to this earth to say—doesn’t look like a loud announcement. It looks like self-definition.

It’s the moment you stop asking for permission to occupy your own life. It’s the wisdom that says: My perspective matters, my creativity is not a luxury, and my voice does not need to be softened to be acceptable.

When you look at your life through that lens, you aren’t just narrating a sequence of events anymore. You are claiming your own narrative. You are meaning what you say, perhaps for the very first time.

Focusing on the internal feeling of self-definition is the courage to sit with yourself until the surface noise fades, and the truth of who you are finally whispers to you

So today, don’t just live the plot of your life. Lean into the wisdom of it.

Story Prompt: Recall a time when you said what you actually meant and let yourself be known. What happened next? Write that story and share it out loud!

You’re always invited: “Come for the stories – stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, subscribe & spread this episode  with a generous 5-star review & comment—it helps us all—& join us next time!

Remember the first time you rode a bike and took your hands off the handlebars? And then because it felt fun and scary you did it again until you were streaking down a hill with the wind blowing in your face and your hands up over your head screaming, “Look ma! No hands!” That’s been the story of Diane's life. Showing up - maybe scared but not afraid - because when you fall down 7 you get up 8.

With 30 years in healthcare, business, law, higher education and storytelling Diane created a niche the world needs: helping socially conscious professionals and organizations connect, engage & succeed by crafting the stories that communicate their message.
