Bio:

As a father of two children with disabilities, his greatest role is as an advocate for his clients as well as other families dealing with similar disabilities. His sons’ disabilities have become a source of inspiration to help other families.

With this experience, he has accrued the knowledge necessary to provide clients with leadership during critical financial transitions as well as provide guidance through making major financial decisions. Nelson firmly believes that it is imperative to build trust with clients to help them identify, communicate and pursue their financial goals. He’s more than just an advisor; he’s a friend.

In 2019, Nelson left one of the world’s largest wirehouse firms, and together with his wife Rhi, they created Provident Oak Financial. They wanted to bring an experience to the families they work with that was above and beyond what they’ve ever had before. They built Provident Oak to truly put their clients’ interests first and for them to be a partner with their clients to help them reach their financial goals.

To put it simply, Honoring God by serving others. This is their founding principle. Those five words are the foundation of what they do and why they do it. They believe that in serving others, listening to their stories, understanding their concerns about money, and helping to bring solutions to their most pressing financial worries, that they can honor the One who has given them this platform
